View approved original text

By properly supplying trace elements such as zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, and chromium during intravenous nutritional supply, it helps facilitate metabolic functions in the body, contributes to immune enhancement and tissue recovery. These trace elements play an important role in supporting essential enzyme functions in the body and improving nutritional status. Therefore, nutrient solutions that include trace elements during intravenous nutritional supply effectively contribute to overall health maintenance and recovery.

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to premature infants and newborns because it contains benzyl alcohol, which can cause respiratory problems in premature infants. This medication must be diluted before injection into the vein to prevent phlebitis; direct intravenous injection should not be performed. It is also a hypotonic solution and should only be used for mixed injections. If toxic symptoms appear during drug administration, it should be discontinued immediately. Special caution is needed for patients with impaired kidney function or premature infants as there is a higher risk of toxicity due to aluminum accumulation. Before administration, physicians should carefully evaluate the patient's condition and the required amount of trace elements, frequently check blood trace element concentrations, and adjust the dosage accordingly. Patients with impaired kidney or biliary function may have difficulty excreting zinc, copper, manganese, chromium, and selenium, which can lead to toxicity, so caution is advised. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently confirmed in pregnant women or women of childbearing potential; therefore, it should only be administered cautiously when the benefits outweigh the risks. In case of overdose, toxic symptoms related to zinc, copper, chromium, and selenium may occur, and immediate consultation with medical staff is required for appropriate measures. This medication must be used according to a doctor's prescription, and it is important to maintain an aseptic state when adding it to non-oral nutritional solutions. Before administration, check for discoloration or particulate matter in the solution; if abnormalities are found, it should not be used.
