This medication is used for allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, dermatitis, and chronic urticaria.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children over 12 years should take 10mg of Ebastine orally once daily. Dosing may be adjusted appropriately based on age and symptoms.

Child dose

For children aged 6-11 years, administer 5mg once daily.

Precautions

This medication contains lactose and may cause hypersensitivity reactions such as diarrhea in children or adolescents who are sensitive to lactose. Patients with an allergy to this medication or severe liver impairment should not take it. Patients with a genetic disorder that prevents lactose digestion should also avoid this medication. Patients with reduced liver function or a history of liver disease should use this medication cautiously as liver function may worsen. This medication may affect heart rhythm, so patients with heart problems or those taking certain medications should exercise caution. Interactions may occur when this medication is taken with drugs that inhibit enzymes metabolizing it in the liver, so it's important to consult a doctor. Rarely, side effects such as palpitations, drowsiness, nervousness, dyspepsia, elevated liver enzymes, and rash may occur after taking this medication. Very rarely, anaphylactic shock, a severe allergic reaction, may occur, so seek immediate medical attention if unusual symptoms develop.
