Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels), sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), or those with kidney disease. Individuals who have allergic reactions to the ingredients in this product should also refrain from use. Infants under 12 months of age, patients with kidney stones, and those with severe renal failure symptoms should not take this medication. Additionally, since this medication contains lactose, individuals with galactose intolerance or related disorders, who are genetically unable to break down lactose, should also avoid taking it. During treatment, it is advisable not to take any other medications such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids concurrently. Infants under 1 year of age, individuals currently receiving treatment from a physician, and children who receive plenty of sunlight and eat normally should consult a professional before taking this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and those who are breastfeeding, as well as premature infants and young children, should also consult a specialist before using this medication. Patients with heart or circulatory system problems, kidney disorders, and hypoalbuminemia, as well as those taking cardiac glycosides or with a history of kidney stones, should exercise caution. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rashes occur while taking this medication, it is essential to stop using it immediately and consult a specialist. In case of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema can occur; hence caution is necessary. Long-term use may lead to increased blood calcium levels or the development of stones, so it's crucial to monitor the condition regularly. Particularly, if taken with medications like aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, there is a risk of elevated blood potassium levels, so caution is warranted. If symptoms do not improve even after one month of taking this medication, consult a specialist. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage and usage instructions, and ensure that children are supervised by a guardian while taking this medication. It is advisable to avoid tea containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, before and after taking this medicine. Store this medication out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place, and keep it tightly sealed.
