This medication helps alleviate various uncomfortable symptoms caused by colds such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain. In short, it effectively improves the symptoms of a cold, enabling patients to quickly return to their daily lives.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and older: 1 pouch (20 mL) per dose, taken three times a day, 30 minutes after meals. The dosing interval should generally be four hours.

Child dose

Ages 11-15: 2/3 pouch per dose; Ages 7-11: 1/2 pouch per dose; Ages 3-7: 1/3 pouch per dose; Ages 2-3: 1/4 pouch per dose; Do not administer to children under 2 years of age.

Precautions

This medication may exert stress on the liver; therefore, individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. Due to the acetaminophen component, serious skin allergic reactions can rarely occur, so if any skin rash or other hypersensitivity reactions are observed, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. The medication contains acetaminophen, and care should be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dosage of 4,000 mg, and it should not be taken in combination with other medications containing acetaminophen. Additionally, due to the pseudoephedrine component, if fever, rash, small blisters, etc. occur, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor or pharmacist. The artificial sweetener aspartame in this medication breaks down into phenylalanine in the body, so patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should not take it. Individuals allergic to this medication or its components, those with a history of asthma, infants under three months, individuals taking specific antidepressants, individuals with severe hypertension or serious kidney disease should not take this medication. During use, it is safe not to take cough medicines, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, and antihistamines together. Children, especially those under 15 years of age or infants, should consult a healthcare professional prior to taking it, and if specific symptoms occur, should consult a doctor immediately. If symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, dizziness, severe skin reactions, difficulty breathing, or jaundice arise while taking the medication, discontinue use and inform a healthcare professional immediately. This medication is generally not to be used in children under two years of age, and should only be used upon a doctor's examination if absolutely necessary. When taking this medication, adhere strictly to the prescribed method and dosage, avoid prolonged use, and ensure that it is administered carefully when given to children. Avoid alcohol consumption during use, and consult a healthcare professional regarding precautions when taking it with specific medications. Store this medication out of reach of children and keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and do not transfer it to another container.

  • Sudden and severe headache

Mild side effects

Rash, redness [erythema], itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling [edema], dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with any oral medications containing cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Do not take if currently on or have discontinued monoamine oxidase inhibitors (such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and anti-Parkinson medications) within the last two weeks. Consult a doctor when taking in conjunction with diabetes medication, gout medications, arthritis medications, anticoagulants, steroids, barbiturates, or tricyclic antidepressants.

Food interactions

Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication.
