This medication is used to relieve symptoms of cough and phlegm.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and older: Take 1 capsule, three times a day, 30 minutes after meals

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by infants under 3 months of age. It should also be avoided by individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients. Individuals taking MAO inhibitors, such as antidepressants or antipsychotics, or those who have discontinued such medications within the last 2 weeks should not take this medicine. It is important not to take this medication with other cough suppressants, expectorants, cold medications, antihistamines, or sedatives during the course of treatment, as this may lead to side effects. Individuals with allergies or a history of drug allergies should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Those with liver, kidney, heart, thyroid disorders, diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma, or urinary difficulties, as well as the elderly, those in poor health, and pregnant or nursing women should also consult a specialist before taking this medication. Furthermore, smokers or individuals with asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or cough accompanied by excessive phlegm, or a cough persisting more than a week or recurring should consult a doctor. If symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty urinating, persistent thirst, anxiety, tremors, or insomnia occur during the treatment, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a specialist. Do not continue taking it if symptoms do not improve after 5 to 6 doses. This medication is not to be administered to children under 2 years of age, and if necessary, a doctor's consultation is required. For children under 7 years old, it is recommended to use a syrup formulation instead of this medication. When taking this medication, be sure to adhere to the prescribed usage and dosage, and avoid alcohol. This medication may cause drowsiness, so it is safest to avoid operating vehicles or machinery while taking it. Lastly, store this medication out of reach of children, protect it from direct sunlight, and keep it sealed in a cool, dry place. It is advisable not to transfer it to other containers to maintain quality.
