This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of cold such as sore throat, cough and phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Individuals aged 15 and older and adults should take 2 tablets at a time, three times a day after meals for 30 minutes. The dosing interval is 4 hours.

Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if you regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol a day, as it can cause liver damage. The acetaminophen in this medication can rarely cause serious skin reactions; if you experience a rash or hypersensitivity, discontinue immediately. Taking more than the daily maximum dose of acetaminophen may result in liver damage, so do not take this medication with other products containing acetaminophen. Individuals with known hypersensitivity to this medication or a history of asthma, infants under 3 months old, or those taking certain antidepressants should not take this medication. Patients with lactose intolerance or genetic lactase deficiency should not take this medication. During treatment, do not take cough medications, other cold medicines, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines concurrently. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, and those with a history of allergy or existing liver, kidney, or heart conditions should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If a rash, itching, nausea, or dizziness occurs after taking this medication, discontinue immediately and consult a healthcare professional. In particular, if symptoms of an allergic shock, severe skin reactions, asthma attacks, or abnormal liver function appear, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Children under 2 years old should not take this medication without a doctor's advice in case of necessity. Adhere to prescribed dosages and avoid long-term use. When administered to children, supervision by an adult is necessary. Avoid alcohol during treatment, and be cautious of potential side effects when taken with certain medications. Store this medication out of reach of children and keep it away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. To maintain quality, do not transfer to other containers.

Side effects and when to seek care immediately

Serious side effects

  • Hives, severe swelling, tightness in the chest, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor → severe allergic reaction
  • Severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa → severe skin reaction
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory issues accompanying cough + fever → respiratory problems
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy → liver issues (jaundice)

Mild side effects

Rash, redness (flushing), itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.

Do not take this medication with oral medications containing cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines.
