This medication is suitable for the treatment of asthma using a combination of long-acting beta-2 agonists and inhaled corticosteroids. Precautions

This medication should not be used in individuals with hypersensitivity or worsening asthma conditions, moderate to severe bronchiectasis, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Caution is required in patients with cardiovascular disease, thyroid issues, diabetes, hypokalemia, tuberculosis, or pulmonary fungal infections, especially monitoring serum potassium levels and cardiac status closely. This medication is not suitable as a first-line therapy for asthma and should only be used in patients with severe symptoms, and their condition should be regularly monitored during treatment. If symptoms improve, it is important to gradually reduce the dosage, avoiding abrupt discontinuation. This medication is used as a maintenance treatment to prevent asthma symptoms, and consistent use is required to achieve effectiveness, even in the absence of symptoms. It is also advisable to rinse the mouth with water during use to prevent side effects such as oral candidiasis. High doses or long-term use may result in systemic side effects like adrenal suppression, growth retardation, and decreased bone density; hence periodic evaluations are necessary. Use during pregnancy should be decided cautiously and only when necessary, and it should not be used in children under 5 years old. In cases of overdose, symptoms may include arrhythmias, hypokalemia, tremors, and headaches, and immediate medical attention should be sought. When using the inhaler, it is important to inhale correctly, with the inhaler cleaned at least once a week. This medication may interact when used in combination with other beta-agonists or specific medications, so it is crucial to consult with a doctor or pharmacist if any other medications are being taken. While it is known not to affect driving or machinery operation, individual reactions may vary.
