Precautions
This medication may cause liver damage if taken by someone who regularly consumes more than three drinks a day; consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. As it contains acetaminophen, there is a rare risk of severe skin reactions, so if a rash or hypersensitivity reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately. Care should be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen, which is 4,000 mg, and it should not be taken with other products containing acetaminophen. Due to the presence of pseudoephedrine, severe skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis may occur; discontinue use immediately and consult an expert if fever, erythema, or small pustules develop. Those who have had hypersensitivity reactions to this medication or have a history of asthma, infants under three months old, individuals taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics, individuals with genetic disorders such as lactose intolerance, and those with uncontrolled hypertension or severe kidney disease should not take this medication. It is safer not to take other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines while on this medication. Infants or children infected with chickenpox or influenza, individuals with allergic predisposition, those with liver, kidney, or heart disease, and women who are pregnant or nursing should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If any unusual symptoms such as rash, vomiting, swelling, or dizziness occur while taking, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional; if symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, professional care should be sought. Adhere to the prescribed dosage and duration, avoid long-term use, avoid alcohol, and be aware that drowsiness may occur, so refrain from driving or operating machinery. Care should be taken with certain diuretics or medications containing licorice as this may cause hypokalcemia or muscle abnormalities. Store this medication out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place that is tightly sealed. Also, to prevent misuse, it is advisable not to transfer it to another container.
