Additionally, patients with untreated infections of the nasal mucosa, those who have recently undergone nasal surgery, or those with wounds in the nose should not use this medication. Especially, it should not be administered to children under 2 years of age. Caution is also required for some patients when using this medication. Patients with active or latent tuberculosis, systemic infections, or herpes simplex in the eyes should use with caution. Furthermore, patients with recurrent nosebleeds or those at risk for chickenpox or measles need to be careful. Women who are pregnant, nursing, or have nasal polyps should consult a physician before using this medication. Possible side effects while using this medication include headache, viral infections like the common cold, pharyngitis, nosebleeds, cough, and upper respiratory infections. Occasionally, skin rashes, irritation of the nasal mucosa, liver function abnormalities, headaches, and blood test abnormalities may occur. Very rarely, severe allergic reactions such as bronchospasm or breathing difficulties can present, so if any abnormal symptoms arise, immediately discontinue use and consult a physician. Long-term high-dose use may lead to systemic side effects, so caution is advised. Particularly, if there are severe infection symptoms in the nasal cavity, notify a physician immediately and regular examinations of the nasal mucosa condition are important. This medication should only be used intranasally and care should be taken to avoid spraying it directly into the eyes or other areas. Before use, the container should be shaken well and a spray test should be conducted. Women who are pregnant or nursing should always consult a physician before use and consider the effects on the fetus or infant. When used in children, there may be a risk of growth retardation, so their growth status should be regularly monitored, and it should not be used in children under 2 years of age as safety has not been established. Elderly patients may have decreased bodily functions, so their conditions should be carefully monitored upon administration. This medication can interact with other drugs; therefore, especially when used with certain antifungal medications or antibiotics, the risk of side effects may increase, necessitating disclosure to a physician and careful management. There is no special treatment required for overdose, but caution is needed when used in large amounts over a long time due to the potential for systemic side effects. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and disposed of within the designated period after use. Lastly, this medication may cause a positive response in doping tests for athletes, so athletes should exercise caution when using it.
