This medication is used to relieve various symptoms caused by seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, including nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and itching of the eyes and nose.

How to take

Adult dose

Children aged 12 years and older and adults should take 1 tablet twice a day (morning and evening), regardless of meals. Do not chew or crush; swallow whole. Patients with impaired kidney or liver function should take 1 tablet once a day.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which can rarely cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP). If any skin rash, fever, erythema, or small pustules occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. This medication should not be used by certain patients, including those with allergies to this medication or similar ingredients, severe hypertension, heart disease, those taking certain antidepressants or antihypertensive medications, those with elevated intraocular pressure or difficulty urinating, and those with genetic conditions such as lactose intolerance. Additionally, this medication can interact with other drugs, especially specific antidepressants, antihypertensive agents, and antacids, which may alter its effectiveness, so it is essential to consult a healthcare provider or pharmacist. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid this medication as its safety has not been established, and particularly breastfeeding mothers should not use it. If this medication is overdosed, it may lead to a slower or irregular heartbeat, increased blood pressure, or central nervous system issues, necessitating immediate medical attention.
