Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals allergic to certain ingredients or those who have experienced hypersensitivity reactions. In particular, it must not be administered to patients with end-stage renal disease or those undergoing dialysis, nor to infants under 1 year of age. For children under 6 years old, it should only be given as a liquid form, and since the liquid contains maltitol, caution is advised for patients with fructose intolerance. Patients with impaired kidney or liver function and the elderly should use this medication carefully as it may increase drug concentration in the body. This medication may cause drowsiness, headache, or dizziness, so caution is necessary when driving or operating machinery. Avoid concurrent use with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants as it may enhance drowsiness or decreased concentration. Patients with urinary excretion issues or epilepsy should consult a doctor before taking this medication. The liquid form contains preservatives and sweeteners which may cause allergic reactions or affect health, so caution is advised. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should be cautious when using this medication, as there is insufficient information on its effects on fetuses or newborns. Children and the elderly may require dose adjustments and monitoring due to potential increases in drug concentration caused by decreased kidney function. It is recommended to temporarily discontinue this medication before allergy testing, and in case of overdose, seek appropriate treatment immediately from a medical facility. This medication is not removed by dialysis, so there is no specific antidote for an overdose, and treatment will depend on the symptoms.
