Summary
- Main use
- Improvement of hypoproteinemia and malnutrition
- Who uses it
- Adults · Children
- Adult dosage
- Generally, for adults, 1-1.5 g per kg of body weight of total amino acids is administered intravenously as a maximum dose. The administration rate should ideally be such that approximately 10 g of total amino acids is infused over 60 minutes, with a principle of administering 80-130 drops per minute. The maximum daily dose is 100 g of D-sorbitol.
- Children's dosage
- Dosing and infusion rates should be adjusted for children.

Amino acid supplementation is crucial in states such as hypoproteinemia and malnutrition, as well as pre- and post-operative conditions. This medication aids in the synthesis of proteins in the body and improves nutritional status, facilitating recovery. It is particularly used to quickly replenish lost proteins in the body before and after surgery. It is effective in improving hypoproteinemia and malnutrition, and supports overall physical function recovery. Therefore, amino acid supplementation plays a vital role in the health recovery of patients in these situations.
Dosage and Administration
Adult dosage
Generally, for adults, 1-1.5 g per kg of body weight of total amino acids is administered intravenously as a maximum dose. The administration rate should ideally be such that approximately 10 g of total amino acids is infused over 60 minutes, with a principle of administering 80-130 drops per minute. Precautions
This medication should be used strictly according to a physician's instructions. It should not be used in patients with hepatic coma or those at risk of hepatic coma, patients with severe renal impairment, or patients with certain metabolic disorders. Additionally, it should be avoided in patients with heart failure, pulmonary edema, or conditions where there is very little urine output, such as oliguria or anuria. Some of the ingredients in this medication may pose risks to patients with specific genetic disorders or a history of heart disease, so caution is needed. Particularly, in patients with liver or kidney dysfunction, hyperkalemia, and those who may experience certain allergic reactions, it should be administered carefully. This medication can cause serious allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis or asthma attacks, so asthma patients or those with allergic tendencies should be cautious. During use, rare hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes may occur, as well as digestive symptoms such as nausea or vomiting. Also, cardiovascular symptoms or hypotension may appear, and with excessive doses, metabolic acidosis may occur, so caution should be exercised. The magnesium ions contained in this medication may cause peripheral vasodilation and could lead to metabolic complications or deterioration of liver and kidney function, thus observing the condition closely is necessary. With large doses, particular attention should be paid to maintaining electrolyte balance, and patients with renal, pulmonary, or cardiac diseases should avoid excessive fluid overload. Diabetics should regularly monitor their blood sugar levels. There may be interactions when combined with other medications, particularly when using tetracycline antibiotics or calcium salts. In pregnant women, safety has not been established, and it should only be administered if the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks. In children, liver function may be immature, so concentrations should be kept low, and blood ammonia levels should be regularly monitored. Elderly patients should have their administration rate slowed and doses adjusted, considering diminished bodily functions. When administering, electrolyte balance must be maintained, and it should be slowly administered intravenously at body temperature. Preparation and management should be done under aseptic conditions, and degraded solutions should not be used. During storage, keep the package unopened and promptly discard any solution showing discoloration or leakage. This medication should be used accurately according to the markings on the container.
