Relief of moderate to severe acute and chronic pain
This medication is used to relieve acute and chronic pain that ranges from moderate to severe.
For children aged 12 and older and adults: Dosage should be adjusted according to the patient's level of pain and therapeutic response. A starting dose of 2 tablets is recommended, and the interval between doses should be at least 6 hours, ensuring that a maximum of 8 tablets is not exceeded in one day. The effective minimum dose should be administered for as short a duration as possible. Do not take this medication for longer than necessary, and if long-term use is needed due to the nature and severity of the disease, regular monitoring should be conducted to verify the continuation of this medication. Elderly Administer the usual adult dosage. However, for the elderly over 75 years of age, the elimination half-life of tramadol is increased by 17% when taken orally, so doses should be administered at least 6 hours apart. Patients with renal impairment For moderate renal impairment patients (creatinine clearance of 10-30 mL/min), extend the dosing interval to 12 hours. For severe renal impairment patients (creatinine clearance less than 10 mL/min), use is not recommended. Tramadol is removed very slowly during hemodialysis, so there is no need to re-administer this medication after dialysis for pain relief. Patients with liver impairment Use caution in extending the dosing interval for patients with moderate liver impairment. The medication should not be administered to patients with severe liver impairment.
As it pertains to children aged 12 and older and adults, no separate pediatric dosage is specified.
