Precautions

This drug can burden the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily must consult their doctor or pharmacist before use. If a rash or adverse reaction occurs during treatment, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. Exceeding the recommended dosage can increase the risk of seizures, and this risk may be further heightened when combined with certain antidepressants or narcotic analgesics. Patients with severe respiratory disease must take this medication in a monitored environment due to the risk of respiratory depression. Using this drug with alcohol or central nervous system depressants can cause severe drowsiness, respiratory depression, or coma, so this combination should be avoided. Patients with head injuries or brain diseases need to be cautious, as this medication may exacerbate symptoms due to respiratory depression. This medication contains narcotic analgesic components, which can lead to physical and psychological dependence; thus, consideration of dependency risk is necessary for long-term use. Patients with poor liver function must consult a doctor before use due to the potential for liver damage caused by the acetaminophen component in this medication. Patients with certain genetic metabolic traits may excessively accumulate the active ingredient, leading to severe respiratory depression, so careful monitoring is necessary. This medication should not be administered to children and adolescents, especially those under 12 years old or those under 18 years old who have undergone tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy. This medication can exacerbate sleep apnea or hypoxemia, so patients with these symptoms should regularly evaluate their condition and adjust the dosage as needed. Drowsiness or dizziness may occur while taking this medication, requiring special caution when driving or operating machinery. Overdosing on this medication can result in severe respiratory depression, seizures, or liver damage; therefore, maintaining strict adherence to dosage is crucial, and emergency treatment should be sought immediately in case of overdose. During treatment, special care must be taken to avoid co-use with other tramadol formulations or medications containing acetaminophen and to follow the doctor's instructions regarding drug interactions.
