Precautions

This medication can irritate the gastric and esophageal mucosa, so caution is advised for individuals with gastritis or esophageal disorders. Patients with esophageal issues or difficulty swallowing should avoid this medication. When taking it, consume with plenty of water, and do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use this drug. Patients with severely impaired kidney function should also avoid this medication. If symptoms such as esophageal pain, difficulty swallowing, or heartburn occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a doctor. It is important to supplement calcium or vitamin D if deficient. This drug may interfere with the absorption when taken with food or other medications containing calcium or magnesium, so timing should be adjusted. Rare side effects, such as osteonecrosis of the jaw or atypical fractures, may occur with long-term use; consult healthcare professionals if these symptoms arise. Pay attention to oral hygiene while taking this medication, and consult a doctor if invasive dental treatment is needed. Generally safe for the elderly, but should be monitored closely for adverse reactions. In case of overdose, blood calcium levels may drop, so seek medical care if symptoms occur.
