Summary

Main use
Relief of moderate to severe acute and chronic pain
Who takes it
Adults · Children
Adult dose
Children aged 12 and over and adults: Dosage should be adjusted according to the patient's pain level and treatment response. The initial recommended dose is 2 tablets, and subsequent doses should be at least 6 hours apart, not exceeding 8 tablets per day. Administer the effective minimum dose for the shortest duration possible. Avoid administering this medication for longer than necessary; if long-term administration is required due to the nature and severity of the condition, regular monitoring should be conducted to assess the continued use of this medication. Elderly Administer the usual adult dose. However, for elderly patients over 75 years of age taking tramadol orally, the elimination half-life of tramadol increases by 17%, hence it should be administered at least 6 hours apart. Patients with renal impairment For patients with moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance of 10-30ml/min), extend the dosing interval to 12 hours. Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance of less than 10ml/min) is not recommended for administration of this medication. Tramadol is eliminated very slowly during dialysis and filtration, therefore, there is no need for re-administration of this medication after dialysis for pain relief. Patients with hepatic impairment For patients with moderate liver impairment, careful consideration should be given to extending the dosing interval. This medication should not be administered to patients with severe liver impairment.
