Improvement of arthritis and pain such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis
This drug is effective for degenerative joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and tendinitis which is the inflammation of tendons. It is also used for pain due to acute gout and dysmenorrhea. Additionally, it helps with bursitis, muscle and ligament injuries (sprains, bruises, etc.), postoperative pain relief, migraine, and post-extraction pain management. In summary, this drug is widely used for various joint and musculoskeletal diseases and pain relief.
1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: Administer 275-550 mg of Naproxen Sodium orally twice daily (every 12 hours). 2. Acute Gout: Administer an initial dose of 825 mg of Naproxen Sodium orally and then 275 mg orally every 8 hours until the attack subsides. 3. Skeletal muscle disorders, postoperative pain, post-extraction pain, dysmenorrhea, tendinitis, bursitis: Administer an initial dose of 550 mg of Naproxen Sodium orally followed by 275 mg every 6-8 hours. Ensure that the total daily dose does not exceed 1350 mg. 4. Migraine: Administer an initial dose of 825 mg of Naproxen Sodium orally. If needed, an additional 275-550 mg may be administered within 30 minutes after the initial dose. Ensure that the total daily dose does not exceed 1350 mg. Adjust the dosage based on age and symptoms.
This medication may pose a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding for individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks per day, so consultation with a physician or pharmacist is essential. Patients with cardiovascular disease or risk factors should be closely monitored as cardiovascular problems such as myocardial infarction and stroke may worsen when taking this medication. This drug can cause serious gastrointestinal issues like gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, so elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases should exercise caution. Individuals with certain conditions such as peptic ulcers, severe blood disorders, liver dysfunction, cardiac failure, kidney disorders, and hypertension should not take this medication. Those with hypersensitivity or a history of allergic reactions to aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should also avoid this medication. If used long-term for chronic conditions, regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests should be conducted to check for any abnormalities. If any abnormalities are detected, the medication should be discontinued. While this drug helps alleviate pain and inflammation, it does not treat the underlying cause, so it should be used appropriately according to symptoms. During pregnancy, especially in late pregnancy, it should be avoided as it can harm the fetus, and it is advisable for breastfeeding women not to use this medication. Safety for children, especially infants under 2 years, has not been established, so its use is not recommended, and elderly patients should use the lowest possible dose cautiously due to a higher risk of side effects. The risk of side effects may increase when this medication is taken with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or certain medications, so it should be taken together with a physician's advice. If severe allergic reactions, skin rashes, difficulty breathing, or gastrointestinal bleeding symptoms occur while taking this drug, it should be discontinued immediately and medical personnel should be consulted. In case of overdose, symptoms such as drowsiness, indigestion, and vomiting may occur, so caution is needed, and it should be stored in a place out of reach of children.

Avoid taking this medication with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, naproxen derivatives, and high doses of methotrexate. Avoid interactions with hydantoins, sulfonamides, sulfonylurea hypoglycemic agents, propranolol and other beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors (such as captopril), loop diuretics and thiazide diuretics, probenecid, aspirin, lithium, low-dose methotrexate, and coumarin anticoagulants (such as warfarin).
This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container, away from air and moisture. It is best to maintain a storage temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
