This medication is used to slow the progression of Alzheimer's type dementia symptoms and improve memory and cognitive function.

How to take

Adult dose

As Donepezil Hydrochloride, administered as 5 mg once daily before bedtime. For the first 4–6 weeks, the dosage should be maintained at 5 mg. After assessing the clinical response during this period, the dosage may be increased up to 10 mg. When increasing to 10 mg daily, care should be taken regarding gastrointestinal adverse reactions.

Child dose

There is no experience using this medication in children.

Precautions

This medicine should not be used by patients with allergies to certain ingredients or by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Patients with genetic lactose intolerance or lactose enzyme deficiency should also be cautious. Patients with heart conditions or issues with heart rhythm should use this medicine carefully, as bradycardia or arrhythmia can occur.
