This medication is used for infections caused by the herpes simplex virus, particularly for initial and recurrent genital herpes and oral herpes. It helps to alleviate and treat the symptoms of these infections, which cause blisters.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply this medication to the affected area (site of the condition) about every 4 hours, 5 times a day. Treatment should continue for 5 days, and if not healed after 5 days of use, it may be used for an additional 5 days.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic or hypersensitive to any component of this medication. Furthermore, it is advisable not to administer this medication to breastfeeding women and children.
