For mild to moderate infections such as recurrent tonsillitis and upper respiratory infections, lower respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and skin/soft tissue infections, take 25 mg/3.6 mg per kg of body weight divided into two doses daily. For severe infections such as otitis media, sinusitis, and lower respiratory infections like bronchopneumonia and urinary tract infections, take 45 mg/6.4 mg per kg of body weight divided into two doses daily. To minimize potential gastrointestinal intolerance, it is recommended to administer the drug at the beginning of meals.
Child dose
7:1 syrup is not suitable for children under 2 months of age. It is not suitable for pediatric patients with renal failure.

This medication is effectively used for various bacterial infections. It aids in respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis and pneumonia, and is also used for upper respiratory infections like tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. Additionally, it is applied to urinary tract infections like cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, as well as gonorrhea and pelvic infections. It is effective for the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections such as boils, abscesses, soft tissue infections, and wound infections, as well as osteomyelitis and dental-related infections. It is used to treat several pathogens, including various gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Therefore, this medication is used to improve various types of bacterial infections.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which is broken down into phenylalanine in the body. Therefore, patients with the hereditary disease phenylketonuria should not take this medication. The intake of aspartame should be limited to below the recommended amount by WHO, and adults should adhere to the maximum daily dosage. Patients with hypersensitivity to the ingredients of this medication or beta-lactam drugs, those with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, and those with a history of liver dysfunction should not use this medication. This medication also contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with lactose intolerance, galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Patients with liver or kidney issues should use this medication with caution, and patients with allergic tendencies or gastrointestinal diseases should also be cautious. When taking this medication, gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain may occur. If symptoms are severe, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a doctor. Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions such as liver dysfunction, skin rash, hives, and difficulty breathing may occur; if such symptoms appear, seek medical attention immediately. Blood abnormalities or kidney dysfunction have also been reported, so regular testing is necessary with prolonged use. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should exercise caution when using this medication, and especially during the first three months of pregnancy, it is advisable to avoid taking it. The safety of this medication in children, especially infants under 2 months of age, has not been established, so use in this population should be cautious.
