This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion caused by nasal colds, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis. In particular, the tablets and syrup help improve tearing symptoms as well. It effectively reduces the inconvenient nasal-related symptoms of patients, enhancing the quality of daily life.

How to take

Adult dose

(Tablet) 1 tablet per dose, 3 times daily after meals. (Capsule) 1 capsule per dose, 3 times daily after meals. (Syrup) 10 mL per dose, 3 times daily after meals.

Child dose

(Tablet) 12-14 years: 1/2 tablet per dose, 3 times daily after meals. (Capsule) 12-14 years: 1/2 capsule per dose, 3 times daily after meals. (Syrup) 12 years and older: 10 mL per dose, 3 times daily after meals.

Precautions

This medication contains the ingredient pseudoephedrine, which can rarely cause severe skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If symptoms such as fever or red spots and small blisters on the skin appear, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication should not be taken by individuals with certain diseases or those taking certain medications. For example, people with severely impaired liver or kidney function, patients with heart disease, those with high blood pressure, pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 2 years of age, and those taking specific medications should not use this product. Additionally, during the use of this medication, other drugs such as antihypertensives, alcohol, sedatives, tranquilizers, MAO inhibitors, and sympathomimetics should not be taken concurrently. Especially if MAO inhibitors have been taken, this medication should not be taken until at least 15 days have passed. It is advisable to avoid activities that require alertness, such as driving or operating dangerous machinery, while taking this medication. Individuals with asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or those under 12 years of age should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if there is a high fever, discontinue use and consult a specialist. If symptoms of central nervous system disturbances such as sedation, drowsiness, anxiety, sweating, vision disturbances, hallucinations, muscle spasms, respiratory distress, or coma occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor. If symptoms like skin rash or irritation, nausea, vomiting, or difficulty urinating arise, discontinue use and seek advice. In case of overdose, symptoms may include hallucinations, seizures, nervousness, dizziness, and insomnia, so immediate treatment is required if such symptoms appear. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, kept away from direct sunlight, and stored in a cool, dry place. Moreover, it should be kept in the original container with the lid tightly closed, and it is safer not to transfer it to another container.

acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), high fever, erythema, severe skin reactions with multiple small pustules, respiratory paralysis, coma, circulatory collapse, sudden severe abdominal pain, rectal bleeding (ischemic colitis symptoms), sudden and very severe headache, thunderclap headache, confusion, seizures, visual disturbances (symptoms of reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome and reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome)
