Precautions

This medication may cause liver damage when taken by individuals who regularly consume three or more alcoholic beverages per day, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which may cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, so if fever, rash, or small blisters appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Individuals with a history of allergic reactions to this medication or its components should not take it, and those with a history of asthma attacks should also avoid this medication. Especially, individuals currently taking or who have recently discontinued a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as antidepressants or antipsychotics within the last two weeks, patients with peptic ulcer disease, and those with severe liver, kidney, or heart function impairment are advised not to use this medication. Do not take this medication concurrently with other acetaminophen products while using this medication, as drowsiness may occur; hence, avoid driving or operating machinery. Additionally, consuming alcoholic beverages should be avoided as it may increase the risk of liver damage, and warning is necessary when combining with other drugs that have central nervous system depressant effects, such as sedatives or sleeping pills. Before taking this medication, individuals with a history of allergies or chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, diabetes, or thyroid disease, pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, and the elderly should consult a specialist. If any unusual symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, or difficulty breathing occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult healthcare professionals; if symptoms do not improve, do not continue taking. If taken for an extended period, it is necessary to have regular liver function tests and blood tests to monitor for abnormalities. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place in its original container.
