Relief of nasal congestion due to cold and allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose) and sinusitis
This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tearing caused by colds or allergic and vasomotor rhinitis. It is also effective in temporarily improving nasal congestion caused by sinusitis, thus helping to manage various nasal-related symptoms effectively.
Children aged 12 years and above and adults should take 10ml every 4 hours. Do not exceed 60ml in 24 hours, and follow doctor's instructions.
Children aged 6 years and above to under 12 years should take 5ml every 4 hours. Do not exceed 30ml in 24 hours, and follow doctor's instructions. Children aged 2 years and above to under 6 years should follow doctor's instructions.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to specific drugs or ingredients in this medication. Women who are sensitive or breastfeeding should not take this medication. Patients with severe hypertension or heart disease, and those taking certain psychiatric medications should avoid this medication. It is also advisable for individuals with glaucoma, difficulty urinating, peptic ulcers, or respiratory diseases such as asthma to refrain from using this medication. Patients taking sedatives or tranquilizers should use this medication cautiously. Individuals with specific conditions such as chronic bronchitis, heart disease, hypertension, thyroid problems, diabetes, glaucoma, or benign prostatic hyperplasia should not take this medication without a doctor's instruction. While taking this medication, various side effects may occur, including fear, anxiety, trembling, difficulty breathing, insomnia, dizziness, and irregular heartbeats. Particularly, people sensitive to the phenylephrine component may experience symptoms like palpitations, headaches, or nausea. If allergic to antihistamines, side effects may include drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, loss of appetite, vomiting, or headaches. This medication may cause drowsiness, so it is advised to avoid alcohol, driving, and operating dangerous machinery. Children may exhibit excitement when taking this medication, therefore caution is necessary. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or high fever occurs, consultation with a doctor is essential. Alcohol consumption should be avoided while taking this medication, and it is safer to refrain from driving or tasks requiring concentration. It is important to avoid exceeding the prescribed dosage and to consult a doctor immediately in case of accidental overdose. If symptoms such as dizziness, insomnia, or nervousness appear, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider. Store this medication out of reach of children, keeping it tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent misuse or deterioration in quality.
