This medication is used to relieve various symptoms caused by a cold, such as runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals 15 years and older, take 18 mL once 3 to 4 times a day after meals and as needed before bedtime.

Child dose

For children aged 11 to under 15 years, take 12 mL once 3 to 4 times a day after meals and as needed before bedtime. For children aged 7 to under 11 years, take 9 mL once 3 to 4 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medicine may put a strain on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Persons allergic to this medication or its ingredients, those who have experienced asthma, infants under 3 months, and individuals currently taking or who have recently stopped specific antidepressants or psychiatric medications should not take this medication. It is advisable to avoid using this medication concurrently with other cold medicines, antipyretics, sedatives, and antihistamines. As this medication contains acetaminophen, care should be taken when taking it with other acetaminophen products to prevent liver damage.
