Precautions
This medication should not be used in patients with viral eye diseases, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections of the eye, or chronic blepharitis. Also, patients with hypersensitivity to this medication should not be administered. Patients with corneal epithelial defects or ulcers, patients with tuberculous or purulent eye diseases, patients with glaucoma, and children under 2 years of age should be particularly cautious and should preferably avoid use. Long-term use can increase intraocular pressure, leading to glaucoma, so regular eye pressure checks are necessary. In addition, infections such as herpetic keratitis or corneal ulcers may worsen, so if such symptoms occur, consult a doctor immediately. Long-term use may also increase the risk of cataracts, so caution is needed. This medication can weaken the immune system, increasing the risk of secondary infections in the eyes, so if symptoms of infection occur, immediate medical attention is advised. If eye inflammation or pain continues for more than 48 hours or worsens, discontinue use and consult a doctor. If wearing contact lenses, remove them before instillation and wait at least 30 minutes after instilling the drops before reinserting them. There may be temporary blurred vision upon instillation, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. Patients at risk of chickenpox or measles should check their medical history and vaccination status before using this medication and take care to prevent infections. Especially in children or patients taking specific medications, systemic side effects may occur, so careful monitoring is essential. The risk of side effects may increase when used with certain medications, so strict adherence to the doctor's instructions is required when co-administering. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should avoid prolonged or frequent use, and breastfeeding women should not use it as safety has not been established. Children and elderly patients may have different bodily functions, so even more caution is required. This medication is for ocular use only, and care should be taken not to let the tip of the container come into direct contact with the eye. Shake well before use and it is advisable not to share with others to prevent contamination. When storing, keep out of reach of children, and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
