This medication is used to treat various inflammatory diseases of the external eye and anterior segment, including blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, episcleritis, iritis and iridocyclitis, and uveitis. It is also effective in alleviating inflammation that may occur after surgery. It helps improve these inflammatory conditions and protects eye health.

Dosage

Instill 1-2 drops once, 2-4 times a day. Adjust as appropriate according to symptoms.

Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients with virus-induced keratitis or conjunctivitis, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, or chronic blepharitis. Furthermore, it should not be administered to individuals with a history of allergic reactions to this medication. It is generally not used in patients with damaged corneal epithelium or ulcers, patients with tuberculous or purulent eye diseases, glaucoma patients, and children under 2 years old; however, it must be used with extreme caution if necessary. Prolonged use of this medication can increase eye pressure leading to glaucoma, so regular intraocular pressure checks are necessary. If symptoms worsen, such as corneal herpes or corneal fungal infection, appropriate treatment must be sought. Long-term use may rarely cause cataracts, and there is an increased risk of secondary infection due to immune function suppression. If inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 48 hours, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Contact lens wearers should remove their lenses before instilling the medication and can reinsert them at least 30 minutes after instillation. Temporary blurriness may occur upon instillation, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. Anyone at risk of infections like chickenpox or measles must check their medical history and vaccination status before using this medication, and see a doctor immediately if infected. Particularly, children or patients taking specific medications should be cautious as systemic side effects may occur following the use of this drug. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid prolonging or frequent use of this medicine; if breastfeeding, it is best to avoid use and discontinue breastfeeding if necessary. This medication is for ophthalmic use only and care should be taken to avoid direct contact of the container opening with the eye. Shake well before use and do not share with others. Store in a cool place out of reach of children and away from direct sunlight, and do not transfer to another container to maintain quality. Additionally, the bottle should always be stored upright during storage.
