This medication helps to thin mucus so that it can be easily expelled, relieve cough, and promote drainage from areas with inflammation or pus.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Take between 1.62–3.24g three times a day before meals or between meals. Adjust the dosage according to age. If used for compounding, reduce the dosage.

Precautions

This medication contains a component called lactose. Therefore, it should not be used by patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Additionally, this medication is very sensitive to moisture, so the lid must be tightly closed after use and stored in an airtight manner. Not doing so may diminish the effectiveness of the medication.
