This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, patients who are allergic to this medication or have had allergic reactions in the past, patients with perforated eardrums, and it should not be used around the eyes. Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with severe wounds or burns, as well as those with puncture wounds or animal bites.
