This medicine is used to alleviate respiratory symptoms such as cough and phlegm.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults and adolescents 15 years and older: Take 2 tablets orally after meals 3 times a day.

Child dose

For children aged 12 years and older but under 15 years: Take 1 tablet orally after meals 3 times a day.

Precautions

This drug should be avoided in patients under 18 years of age who are obese or have obstructive sleep apnea syndrome or severe respiratory diseases due to a high risk of severe respiratory depression. People with a history of allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to this drug or its components should not use it. Do not use this drug if you are taking MAO inhibitors, including antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, or anti-Parkinson’s drugs, or if you have stopped taking them within the last 2 weeks. Breastfeeding women should not take this drug, and patients with glaucoma or other obstructive lower urinary tract disorders such as prostate enlargement should also avoid it. This drug should not be given to children under 12 years of age, and special attention is required as serious side effects can occur, especially in cases of overdose. Cautious use is necessary for individuals with a history of allergies or allergy symptoms caused by medications, those with liver or kidney diseases, thyroid disorders, diabetes, or those who are weak or have a high fever. Patients with cardiovascular diseases or hypertension, the elderly, and women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should also exercise caution when using this drug. If cough persists for a long time or if you have asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, caution should be taken, especially in individuals with a history of obstructive peptic ulcer or gastric ulcer. This drug may cause drowsiness; it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery while taking it. Do not take it with other cough suppressants, cold medications, antihistamines, or sedatives, and combining it with alcohol or central nervous system depressants may enhance drowsiness. In case of overdose, central nervous system abnormalities, seizures, respiratory distress, or cardiovascular issues may appear, requiring immediate medical attention. This drug should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place. It should not be transferred to another container, as mixing with certain medications may alter the properties of the drug.
