How to take

Adult dose

Adults and adolescents aged 15 years and older: 1 dose of 20 mL Take orally 3 to 4 times a day after meals and at bedtime.

Child dose

Aged 12 years and older to under 15 years: 1 dose of 13 mL Take orally 3 to 4 times a day after meals and at bedtime.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals under 18 years of age who are obese, have obstructive sleep apnea, or have severe pulmonary diseases due to the risk of severe respiratory depression. Persons who have had an allergic reaction to this medication or are hypersensitive to any of its components should not take it. Additionally, individuals taking MAO inhibitors such as antidepressants or antipsychotics, those who have ceased taking them within the last two weeks, children under 12 years old, nursing mothers, patients with glaucoma, or those with lower urinary tract obstructive diseases such as prostate enlargement should not take this medication. Those with a history of allergic reactions, liver, kidney, or thyroid diseases, diabetes, elderly individuals with high blood pressure or heart conditions, and women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication with caution. Caution is also advised for those with severe cough, respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, urinary disorders, increased intraocular pressure, peptic ulcer disease, and epilepsy. Drowsiness may occur during treatment, so avoid driving or operating machinery, and do not overdose or use for extended periods. Do not take with other cough suppressants, cold medications, antihistamines, or sedatives, and combining with alcohol or central nervous system depressants may increase drowsiness. Pregnant or nursing women should consult a doctor before use as this medication may affect the fetus or baby. Particular care is needed for children, and this medication should not be administered to children under 12 years of age. Elderly patients may have reduced physical function; therefore, their condition should be closely monitored during use. In case of overdose, symptoms such as central nervous system abnormalities, seizures, respiratory difficulties, or heart problems may occur, requiring immediate emergency treatment. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It is also important to avoid transferring it to another container to maintain quality.
