My experience getting Ultherapy at Apgujeong Ever Dermatology! An honest review of satisfaction despite the pain & duration of the results
I received Ultherapy treatment at Ever Dermatology in Apgujeong 6 months ago. To be honest, after seeing reviews about the pain associated with Ultherapy, I considered canceling my appointment several times. I was scared because I saw a lot of reviews saying Ultherapy was very painful, but when I actually got it, it was more bearable than I expected. After receiving Ultherapy at Apgujeong Ever Dermatology, I felt like my facial lines were becoming more defined, so I understood why they are famous for Ultherapy. I hope my honest review will be of great help to those who are having the same concerns as me. Originally, I was concerned about my skin elasticity and jawline. In my early 20s, my face stayed plump no matter how much I stayed up all night drinking, but lately, I feel like my jawline has become blurred and my cheeks have sagged. I was especially stressed because when I took photos, my face looked bigger than before and the fat under my chin stood out more. Every time I looked in the mirror, I felt like my face looked saggy overall, so I started looking into lifting procedures and ended up comparing Shurink, InMode, and Ulthera extensively. But when I looked at the reviews, most people seemed highly satisfied with Ultherapy, so I finally made up my mind to go with it. The problem is, there are so many stories about the pain that I'm getting scared for no reason. I saw so many reviews saying things like "it feels like my bones are aching," "it sounds like a dental drill," or "it feels like my face is being torn apart," so I was nervous until the day before the procedure. I ended up going to Apgujeong Ever Dermatology because an acquaintance recommended it. The very first thing I asked during the consultation was how painful Ultherapy is. The consultation manager explained that while it varies from person to person, the intensity is adjustable and they don't increase it excessively from the start, which reassured me a little. Also, the director explained in detail which areas were starting to sag while looking at my facial contours, which somehow made me trust him even more. Instead of blindly increasing the number of shots, they recommended treatments based on my face shape and focused on the areas that needed it, so I didn't feel like they were pushing it excessively. On the day of the procedure, even though I was waiting with the numbing cream applied, my heart was really pounding. But if it means I'll become prettier, I should just put up with this much! I comforted myself and waited. I was nervous and my hands were sweating for no reason because of the Ultherapy pain, but the staff member kept talking to me to relax and told me it was okay, so I felt a little more at ease. (Aren't you really meticulous? I'm so touched... haha) And finally, the procedure began, but I flinched for a moment when the first shot went in. I had a sharp, stinging pain, like being hit in the bone inside my face, but it wasn't unbearable. Instead, I definitely felt the pain from Ultherapy more strongly along my jawline and below my cheekbones. Especially when passing close to the bone, it felt like a momentary electric shock, but the doctor kept asking if I was okay and proceeded slowly, so it was bearable. Personally, I felt that the pain from Ulthera went in much deeper than from Shurink. But since it felt like it was tightening my skin deep down, I was actually looking forward to the results. The procedure finished faster than I expected. When I looked in the mirror right after it was over, my face was a little red and felt numb, but there was no severe swelling or bruising. And what was surprising was that I immediately felt like my jawline was slightly more defined. (It's not just my imagination~~ I really have gotten prettier~~~) I'll also show you the before and after photos of the Ulthera procedure! Doesn't the jawline look more defined and different? The day after receiving the Ultherapy treatment, I felt a slight throbbing sensation like muscle soreness, but it wasn't severe enough to prevent me from going about my daily life, and I was even able to apply makeup. I started to feel the real change after about two weeks. When taking photos, I felt like my jawline looked more defined than before and my face looked slightly smaller. My sense of satisfaction skyrocketed as I started hearing people around me ask if I had lost weight or why my face looked so refined. (My weight is the same, but my jawline is definitely more defined, so it seems like the diet is having an effect^^) Many people are curious about the duration of the Ulthera results, but personally, I am quite satisfied with them. It has been about 6 months since I received Ultherapy, and while it doesn't feel as dramatic as the first time, I definitely feel that my jawline is sagging less. Especially when taking photos, my facial contours look more defined than before, and the feeling that my skin looks firmer overall still remains. People around me even ask what facial treatment I got, so I feel even more satisfied for no particular reason. Of course, I heard that the duration of Ulthera effects varies from person to person depending on skin condition and lifestyle, but I am satisfied because the effects are still visible even now, six months later. So, I'm thinking of getting treatments again on schedule before my skin loses elasticity any further. Honestly, before the procedure, I think I was really scared because I kept looking up reviews about Ultherapy pain. There is definitely pain from Ulthera itself. However, it wasn't at a level of fear that I couldn't bear, and considering the effect, I was perfectly capable of receiving it again. I think it is a good idea to get a consultation for Ultherapy, especially for those concerned about skin elasticity or wanting to refine their jawline. I plan to get Ultherapy at Apgujeong Ever Dermatology again if I feel my skin losing elasticity in the future. They really did an excellent job with the Ultherapy treatment, and I am extremely satisfied! It was such a satisfying procedure that I felt like the months I spent just worrying about it were a waste of time. My biggest worries were the pain from the extraction and my face breaking out after the procedure. It was more bearable than I expected, and thanks to the thorough soothing care, the redness subsided quickly. After visiting consistently a few times, the frequency of cystic acne breakouts decreased, and I felt like my skin texture itself became smoother. The consultation itself was friendly, but I remember feeling a bit disappointed because it felt a little faster compared to the top-ranked hospital. 3rd Place Tox & Fill Clinic It felt like a good place to receive consistent care at a relatively affordable price. The extraction process was quite clean, and it was effective for inflammatory acne. I definitely felt that major skin troubles were decreasing as I managed it along with the prescribed medication. I felt that the detailed explanation regarding the skin type itself was a bit lacking. Still, I would like to recommend this as a good hospital for students or those just starting out in their careers to begin managing their health! Personally, the reason I chose CNP Dermatology as number one is that it doesn't feel like they are just performing procedures. It is because I felt the most significant factor was that it took care of my skin itself! Acne-prone skin isn't something that ends immediately with just one treatment. I needed to consider lifestyle habits and the skin barrier as well, and I trusted you because you explained those aspects as well. In the past, I used to get stressed every time I looked in the mirror, and I felt self-conscious about meeting people because of my skin. I'm most satisfied now that my makeup applies much better and I have fewer days feeling down because of my skin haha. I've already had a total of three sessions, including the additional touch-up! They took photos the first time, but maybe because the last one was an add-on, I was secretly glad they didn't! (Yay!) Also, it felt like it finished quickly from start to finish? (It actually did finish quickly.) I started this during last year's Chuseok holiday. Since it had been years since my last procedure, I was really worried, but I liked the initial design better than I expected (though the peeling was a bit severe at the beginning, so I was really stressed about it). I visited with my mother, and because of her advanced age, her cataracts are progressing, so we had an examination and a consultation regarding surgery. Since it was my first visit, I couldn't make an appointment, so I visited early in the morning and had to wait at least an hour to see the doctor. Perhaps because their expectations for the surgery are high, I see a few elderly patients expressing dissatisfaction. He says he can see everything without glasses, yet he also says he can't see well. The medical staff kindly explains the same thing over and over again. Mom postponed the surgery for a while and came back with a prescription for cataract eye drops.

The surgical method involves inserting a silicone artificial tube into the eye to allow tears to drain properly through the tube. I wasn't ready to have the surgery right away because of the burden of having to put something inside my eye. I was told by my previous ophthalmologist to try Kim Ophthalmology, which is larger, so I received a referral and went to Kim Ophthalmology. Kim Ophthalmology is an ophthalmology hospital established in 1962, and the entire standalone building is dedicated to ophthalmology. The hospital is large and has many doctors, so a wide variety of specialized treatments are available. Since CT scans and various other tests were conducted all at once, I felt that they possessed a system and technology comparable to that of a university hospital. So I also visited hoping for non-surgical treatment that I couldn't get at the local clinic. The hospital is very large, spanning from the 2nd basement floor to the 9th floor, and has many wards. It seems like eye diseases are usually treated on the 3rd floor. I went to the 3rd floor as well. You will be given a wristband upon registration. I had an X-ray examination first. It is a test that involves injecting a contrast agent to accurately identify where the tear duct is blocked. After the examination, the doctor examined my eyes and told me that they wouldn't be treatable with just eye drops and antibiotics. There was even a time when my eye swelled up tremendously because my tear ducts were blocked, causing inflammation in the lacrimal sac. (The dacryocystitis has fully recovered now.) They said that although the current condition does not require immediate surgery, a probing procedure is necessary because the tear duct is blocked. The probing method is a technique that physically clears blocked parts of the tear ducts using a thin metal rod (probe). This is the treatment commonly referred to as "piercing with a needle." They told me to try the probing procedure first, and that if that doesn't work, I might have to have surgery, but since the probing isn't a one-time thing and requires at least 2-3 sessions anyway, they gave me a positive outlook and suggested I take a long-term view. Another hospital told me to have surgery, but here they recommended non-surgical treatment first and spoke positively, which put my mind at ease! So I felt like they provide conscientious treatment without overtreatment!! And the teacher is really kind and gentle.
