This medication helps relieve various symptoms caused by colds. It improves not only nasal symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing but also respiratory symptoms including sore throat, cough, and phlegm. Furthermore, it is effective for systemic symptoms such as chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain. Patients can reduce the uncomfortable symptoms caused by colds by taking this medication. Therefore, it is used for the relief of cold symptoms.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Ages 15 years and older and adults: Take 2 capsules three times a day 30 minutes after meals.

Children's dosage

Ages 8 years and older to under 15 years: Take 1 capsule three times a day 30 minutes after meals.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which may rarely cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If symptoms such as fever, red spots, or small pustules occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication is contraindicated in certain individuals. For instance, those who have an allergy or have experienced hypersensitivity to this medication or its ingredients, those who have had asthma triggered, infants under 3 months of age, those taking or recently stopping MAO inhibitors, patients with severe hypertension, and those with very poor kidney function should not take this medication. While taking this medication, it is important not to use other cold medications, antipyretics, cough suppressants, sedatives, or antihistamines concurrently. Especially, infants or children under 15 years of age infected with chickenpox or influenza, those experiencing abdominal pain or bleeding symptoms related to pseudoephedrine, individuals with allergic tendencies, those with liver, kidney, heart, thyroid conditions, diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, urination difficulties, those with gastrointestinal diseases, pregnant or nursing women, and those taking other medications should definitely consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, digestive problems, swelling, urination issues, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, or insomnia occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Additionally, if severe allergic reactions, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, asthma attacks, severe headache and confusion, heart-related symptoms occur, immediate medical attention is necessary. Do not use in children under 2 years of age unless absolutely necessary and under a doctor's supervision. This medication should be taken as directed regarding dosage and frequency, and long-term use should be avoided. When administering to children, parental supervision is required, and alcohol should be avoided during use. Drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so driving or operating machinery should be avoided. Moreover, this medication may temporarily increase phlegm production, and rare cases of Churg-Strauss syndrome affecting the cardiovascular system have been reported.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, cold sweats, pallor, difficulty breathing, severe rash with high fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in mucous membranes of the mouth/eyes, asthma, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, significantly decreased urine output, swelling associated with increased blood pressure, Churg-Strauss syndrome (severe allergic reaction affecting the cardiovascular system)
