Precautions

This medication may put strain on the liver; therefore, individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist. If severe skin rashes, blisters, or red spots appear during medication, use should be discontinued immediately and a healthcare professional should be consulted. Because this medication contains acetaminophen, care must be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dosage, and it should not be taken with other acetaminophen-containing medications to prevent liver damage. Care should also be exercised when taking medications that include pseudoephedrine, as serious adverse skin reactions may occur; if fever, redness, or small blisters develop, use should be stopped and a professional consulted. This medication should not be taken by those who are allergic to it or its ingredients, have experienced allergic reactions in the past, infants under 3 months of age, or individuals taking certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications, as well as those with severe hypertension or kidney disease. Additionally, it is safer not to take this medication with cough medicines, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, antihistamines, or any oral medications containing these ingredients. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, those with allergic constitutions, or individuals with underlying conditions such as liver, kidney, or heart disease must consult with a professional before taking this medication. If rashes, itching, nausea, dizziness, or difficulty breathing occur during use, the medication should be discontinued immediately and a doctor or pharmacist consulted. Particularly, if severe allergic reactions, skin diseases, or liver function abnormalities occur after taking, urgent medical attention is necessary. This medication should not be given to children under 2 years of age, and if it is essential, a doctor's assessment must be obtained. Follow the prescribed dosage and administration carefully, avoid prolonged use, and administer to children under the supervision of an adult. During use, avoid alcohol, and since drowsiness may occur, refrain from driving or operating machinery. Caution is required as the metabolism of acetaminophen may slow when taken with specific medications, and if any abnormal symptoms appear in conjunction with other drugs, a healthcare professional must be consulted immediately. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, stored away from direct sunlight, and stored in a cool, dry place in a tightly sealed container. Also, to maintain quality, it is important not to transfer it to another container.
