This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of a cold, including runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle aches. Patients can reduce discomfort and recover quickly with this medication.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), shock (anaphylaxis), urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, cold sweats, pallor, difficulty breathing, mucocutaneous syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrolysis (Lyell syndrome), high fever, severe rash, blisters, oral/eye mucosa pain, asthma, sudden and severe headaches, lightning headache, seizures, disorientation, visual disturbances, urinary abnormalities, Kounis syndrome

Children's dosage

Rash, redness, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, stomach pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, gastric discomfort, swelling, urinary difficulty, thirst, dizziness, anxiety, tremor, insomnia

Precautions

This medication contains the ingredient pseudoephedrine, which can rarely cause severe skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If you experience symptoms such as fever, red spots, or small blisters filled with pus, you should stop taking this medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Do not take this medication if you have a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to its ingredients. Additionally, it should not be taken by individuals who have experienced asthma after taking this medication or similar cold medications or antipyretic analgesics. Infants under 3 months old, those taking MAO inhibitors or who have discontinued them within the past two weeks, and individuals with uncontrolled hypertension should not take this medication. It is safer not to take this medication alongside other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, cough suppressants, sedatives, or antihistamines while using it. Infants infected with chickenpox or influenza, as well as children under 15 years old, must consult a doctor before taking this medication. Additionally, those who have had allergic reactions to medication or have asthma or allergies should exercise caution. Individuals with liver, kidney, heart, thyroid diseases, diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, urinary retention, elderly patients, frail individuals, and those with high fever should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Those with gastrointestinal issues or severe fluid loss, pregnant or lactating women, and individuals taking other medications should always consult a healthcare professional prior to taking this medication. If you experience symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, swelling, difficulty urinating, dizziness, or insomnia while taking this medication, you should stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. More severe symptoms may include anaphylactic shock, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, asthma attacks, severe headaches, or visual disturbances; if such symptoms occur, immediate emergency treatment is needed. If symptoms do not improve after 5 to 6 doses, you should stop taking the medication and consult healthcare personnel. It is generally advisable not to administer this medication to children under 2 years of age, except in special cases, and a doctor's advice is necessary.

Serious side effects

This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture; therefore, it should be stored in a sealed container. Additionally, it is best to store the medication at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C, avoiding extremely hot or cold environments.
