It is also effective in the treatment of osteoporosis. This aids in improving the patient's bone health and alleviating related symptoms.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Chronic renal failure and osteoporosis: Alfacalcidol, orally administered at a dose of 0.5 to 1 µg once daily. Hypoparathyroidism and other vitamin D metabolic disorders: This medication is administered orally at a dose of 1 to 4 µg once daily.

Children's dosage

Osteoporosis: Alfacalcidol, orally administered at a dose of 0.01 to 0.03 µg per kg of body weight once daily. Other conditions: This medication is administered orally at a dose of 0.05 to 0.1 µg per kg of body weight once daily.

Precautions
