This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, and heaviness in the head caused by acute rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis.

Dosage and Administration

Children's dosage

For children aged 2 years and older but under 12 years, administer once per nostril, up to three times daily. Administer at intervals of at least 8 hours.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in infants under 2 years of age. Persons with a known allergy to this medication or its ingredients, or who have experienced hypersensitivity reactions, should not use it. Those currently taking specific antidepressants, antipsychotics, or MAO inhibitors, or who have stopped taking them within the past 2 weeks, should not use this medication. Individuals who have had brain surgery, suffer from closed-angle glaucoma, or have dry rhinitis or atrophic rhinitis should also avoid this medication. It is advisable for patients with pheochromocytoma or benign prostatic hyperplasia to refrain from using this medication. Special caution should be taken for those allergic to or sensitive to propylene glycol. Individuals with a history of allergies or previous allergic reactions to medications should consult a physician or pharmacist before use. It is necessary for people with hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, thyroid disease, or glaucoma to consult a professional before using this medication. Patients taking tricyclic or tetracyclic antidepressants, and those sensitive to adrenergic effects such as insomnia, dizziness, tremors, cardiac arrhythmias, or elevated blood pressure should exercise caution. Pregnant women or individuals who may become pregnant and nursing mothers should use this medication under the guidance of a physician or pharmacist. Consultation is also required for patients undergoing treatment, or with chronic cough, asthma, or pulmonary emphysema. If symptoms such as rash, redness, swelling, or itching occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a professional. If symptoms do not improve after 3 days of use, stop using the medication and consult a physician. In rare cases, if severe symptoms like severe headache, nausea, vomiting, or visual disturbances occur, stop use immediately and consult medical personnel. It is essential to adhere to the specified dosage and administration instructions, as excessive use may worsen nasal congestion. This medication is intended for nasal use only and should not be applied to the eyes or ears. Avoid simultaneous usage, and it is advisable not to use continuously for more than 7 days. During use, alcohol should be avoided, and adult supervision is necessary when children are using it. Due to the presence of benzalkonium chloride, bronchial spasms or nasal mucosal irritation and swelling may occur, so long-term use should be avoided. Store out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place. Additionally, to maintain quality, do not transfer to another container and prevent misuse.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold extremities, sweating, pallor, severe rash accompanied by high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mouth/eye mucosa, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, asthma attack, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, altered consciousness.
