How to take

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to certain patients. For example, those who are allergic to this medication's active ingredients, patients with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, and those on dialysis should not take this medication. Patients with impaired kidney function must ensure their kidney function is checked before administration and should monitor their kidney status regularly after administration. The experience of using this medication in patients with heart failure is limited, so it should be used with caution. Acute pancreatitis may occur while taking this medication, so if symptoms such as severe abdominal pain appear, the medication should be stopped immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. Additionally, a skin condition known as bullous pemphigoid may appear, so any formation of blisters or erosion on the skin should be reported to healthcare professionals immediately. There is a risk of hypoglycemia; therefore, when taken with insulin or sulfonylureas, blood sugar levels should be monitored carefully, and dosage adjustments may be necessary. Hypotension or dehydration due to fluid loss may occur, so elderly patients or those with low blood pressure should be particularly cautious, and if symptoms of dehydration occur, the administration of this medication may be temporarily halted. Hives, angioedema, ketoacidosis, pancreatitis, bullous pemphigoid, severe allergic reactions, severe skin adverse reactions, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, respiratory distress, asthma attacks, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), liver abnormality symptoms, sudden and very severe headaches, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, significantly decreased urine output, severe generalized edema accompanied by elevated blood pressure.
