This medication is used to relieve multiple symptoms of a cold, including runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 years and older and adults: Take 2 capsules 30 minutes after meals, three times a day.

Child dose

Ages 8 years and older to under 15 years: Take 1 capsule 30 minutes after meals, three times a day.

Precautions

This medicine contains pseudoephedrine and may cause a severe skin reaction known as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If symptoms such as fever, red spots, or small blisters occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Do not take this medication if there is a history of hypersensitivity to this medicine or its components, or if asthma occurred with previous use of this drug or other cold medications. Additionally, infants under 3 months of age, individuals taking MAO inhibitors or who have stopped taking them within the last 2 weeks, patients with uncontrolled hypertension, and those with severe kidney disease should not use this medication. While taking this medication, do not take antitussives or expectorants, other cold medicines, analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines together with it. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, individuals with a history of allergy or drug allergy, elderly patients, and those with liver, kidney, or heart conditions, or gastrointestinal issues must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking. If symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dizziness, severe headache, or difficulty breathing occur during use, discontinue this medication immediately and consult a physician. Serious allergic reactions such as anaphylactic shock or Stevens-Johnson syndrome can occur, so caution is needed. This medication should not be given to children under 2 years of age; if necessary, consult a physician. Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and frequency, avoid prolonged use, and refrain from alcohol consumption during treatment. Drowsiness may occur, so driving or operating machinery is not recommended. This medication may temporarily increase phlegm production, and there have been rare reports of Kounis syndrome affecting the cardiovascular system, so caution is warranted for patients with heart conditions. Store this medicine in a closed container to protect it from air and moisture, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place. Do not transfer it to another container to maintain its quality.
