This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, tearing, sore throat, and feeling of heaviness in the head caused by the common cold (acute rhinitis), allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis.

How to take

Adult dose

For those 15 years and older: take 2 tablets three times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which can rarely cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If fever or red spots or small blisters appear on the skin, immediately discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Infants under 3 months of age and children under 15 years of age should not take this medication. Individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients should not take it. Patients taking MAO inhibitors, such as antidepressants or antipsychotics, or who have discontinued them within the last 2 weeks should not use this medication. Patients with uncontrolled hypertension should also avoid taking it. This medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic conditions should not use it. It is advisable not to take this medication together with other oral medications for rhinitis, cold medications containing antihistamines, cough suppressants, or motion sickness medications. Individuals with a history of allergic reactions or drug allergies should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Patients with hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, glaucoma, urinary difficulties, or those who are frail, or have high fever should also consult a doctor before use. Caution is advised for pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as well as for the elderly. Individuals who smoke or have respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, or those experiencing persistent or recurrent coughs should consult a healthcare professional. If severe abdominal pain or rectal bleeding occurs while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, severe headache, rash, itching, urinary difficulties occur during use, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. Do not use for extended periods and strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage and frequency. Drowsiness may occur while taking this medication; it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery. Alcohol should also be avoided, and it should be stored in a cool, dry place out of reach of children. This medication should not be transferred to another container and should be stored away from direct sunlight.
