Rapid relief of moderate pain (post-operative) and fever.
This medication is administered intravenously for quick effect when pain or high fever is severe and immediate action is needed. It is particularly used to relieve moderate pain that occurs after surgery in a short period. It is also suitable for the short-term treatment of temporary fever symptoms. It is effectively used when administration via other routes is challenging. By administering it quickly, it reduces patient discomfort and improves symptoms.
Adults weighing over 50 kg: 1000 mg of acetaminophen, administered 4 times a day, with a minimum dosing interval of about 4 hours. The maximum daily dosage must not exceed 4 grams. For children aged 33 kg (around 11 years) or older, and adults weighing less than 50 kg: For a single dose, approximately 15 mg/kg of acetaminophen (this is 1.5 mL/kg), with a minimum dosing interval of 4 hours. The maximum daily dosage should not exceed 60 mg/kg or 4 grams.

This medication must be used with great caution as confusion between milligrams and milliliters during dosing can lead to severe poisoning or death. It is advisable to switch to appropriate oral analgesics as soon as oral administration becomes possible. When taking this medication, it is crucial to check whether other medications being taken contain acetaminophen to avoid overdose. Exceeding the recommended dosage can cause severe liver damage; thus, it is essential to adhere strictly to the dosage, and if liver dysfunction symptoms occur, immediate treatment must be sought. Patients with liver disease or impaired liver function should take this medication cautiously after consulting a physician, and regular liver function tests should be conducted during long-term high-dose treatment. People who consume alcohol daily should consult a specialist before taking this medication, or the risk of liver damage will increase. Rarely, severe rashes, blisters, or allergic reactions may appear on the skin; if skin abnormalities occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and medical attention should be sought. Patients with hypersensitivity to this medication or those who have peptic ulcers, severe liver, kidney, or heart conditions, those taking certain medications, or those who have consumed alcohol should not use it. Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney disorders, a tendency to bleed, asthma, the elderly, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding; consultation with a specialist is advised when necessary. During use, rare side effects like blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, skin rashes, kidney function decline, and low blood pressure may occur, so any unusual symptoms should be reported to medical personnel immediately. This medication can interact with certain drugs; hence, if you are taking any other medications, it is essential to inform your healthcare provider, and dosage adjustments may be needed. It does not affect driving or machinery operation but should not be mixed with other medications. Children and the elderly should use the minimum effective dose, and their condition should be carefully monitored after administration. During pregnancy, it should be taken after carefully evaluating its benefits versus risks, and during breastfeeding, although a small amount is excreted in breast milk, no adverse effects have been reported. Patients with severely reduced kidney function should extend the dosing intervals. In case of overdose, immediate hospitalization for detoxification treatment is required. This medication should not be stored above 30 degrees, and refrigeration or freezing should be avoided. The outer packaging should be maintained, and any discoloration or foreign substances should be checked before use. Unused solution should be discarded, and it should be used only once.
Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, anaphylactic shock, anaphylaxis, shock, acute liver failure leading to liver transplant and death, liver damage, increased liver transaminase levels, fulminant hepatitis, liver necrosis, liver failure, elevated liver enzymes, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), severe skin rash, blisters.
