High-fat foods should be avoided, but if necessary, it may be given during meals. The dosage is based on the patient's weight, with a starting dose of approximately 12.8 μg/kg administered three times a day. The dose is increased every 7 days, with a daily maximum.

Precautions
This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, it should not be administered to individuals with an allergy to this medication, pregnant or breastfeeding women, glaucoma patients, patients with difficulty urinating, patients with severe renal impairment, patients with gastrointestinal diseases such as bowel obstruction or severe colitis, and patients with very weak cardiac function. Additionally, it should be administered cautiously to patients with ulcerative colitis or those with hyperthyroidism, heart disease, hypertension, or benign prostatic hyperplasia. This medication commonly causes side effects such as dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, difficulty urinating, facial flushing, or nasal congestion. These side effects may be more frequent with higher doses or prolonged use. Because this medication has anticholinergic effects, if symptoms such as constipation, urinary retention, fever, or pneumonia occur, a doctor should be consulted immediately. Furthermore, the treatment duration should be kept as short as possible, and if used long-term, close medical supervision is necessary. Patients with heart disease should be careful as they may be affected by heart rate or blood pressure, and patients with gastrointestinal diseases should also use caution. During treatment, attention to oral hygiene is important, as there is an increased risk of cavities or periodontal disease. Patients with respiratory diseases may have an increased risk of pneumonia, so if pneumonia symptoms occur, the drug should be discontinued. CNS side effects such as drowsiness, anxiety, decreased concentration, or mood changes may occur, and changes in the patient's behavior should be monitored. This medication may blur vision or affect concentration; therefore, driving or operating machinery should be avoided until fully recovered after administration. When taken with other medications, interactions may occur, especially caution is needed when used with oral potassium chloride, other anticholinergics, antispasmodics, antihistamines, antipsychotics, antidepressants, opioids, and steroids. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use this medication, nor should it be administered to children under 3 years of age or to elderly people aged 65 years or older. For patients with poor renal function, the dosage should be reduced, and this medication should not be used in cases of severe renal impairment. In cases of overdose, anticholinergic symptoms such as dry skin, flushing, altered consciousness, fever, or increased heart rate may occur, and emergency treatment should be sought immediately. When administering the medication, a dosing device should be used accurately, cleaned thoroughly after use, and the medication should be stored out of reach of children. It is advisable to complete use within 2 months after opening.
