Treatment of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, relief of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease and maintenance therapy
This medication is used for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers. It is also effective for erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease, helping not only to alleviate symptoms but also to assist in long-term maintenance therapy. In other words, it is used to improve various gastrointestinal disorders.
1) Gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer: Typically, adults should take 10/700 mg orally once daily. Depending on symptoms, 20/700 mg may be taken orally once daily. Usually administered for up to 8 weeks for gastric ulcers and up to 6 weeks for duodenal ulcers. 2) Erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: Administer 10/700 mg or 20/700 mg orally once daily for 4 to 8 weeks. Proton pump inhibitors should be administered for 8 weeks, and if symptoms remain unresolved, an additional 8 weeks of 10/700 mg or 20/700 mg may be taken orally twice daily. However, administering 20/700 mg twice daily is limited to patients with severe mucosal damage. 3) Relief of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease: Take 10/700 mg orally once daily. If symptoms are uncontrolled after 4 weeks, further evaluation is needed. After symptoms resolve, 10/700 mg may be taken orally once daily as on-demand therapy to manage any subsequent symptoms. 4) Long-term maintenance therapy for gastroesophageal reflux disease: Depending on the patient, administer 10/700 mg or 20/700 mg orally once daily. 2. Patients with liver impairment: Adverse reactions related to hepatic encephalopathy have been reported in patients with cirrhosis, so caution is advised. 3. Patients with kidney impairment: The safety and efficacy in patients with kidney impairment have not been established. As there is no prior usage experience, caution is advised. 4. The elderly: This group often has diminished liver function, warranting cautious administration. 5. Pediatrics: The safety of this medication has not been established for children.

This medication contains Rabeprazole Sodium and Sodium Bicarbonate as active ingredients, and it is used to treat gastrointestinal disorders by suppressing gastric acid secretion. It should not be used in certain patients. For example, people with allergies to this medication's components or a history of hypersensitivity reactions, patients taking certain medications such as Atazanavir or Rilpivirine, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication. Patients with liver or kidney impairment, the elderly, those with heart or lung problems, patients with electrolyte imbalances, and patients who need to limit sodium intake should use this medication with caution. While taking this medication, allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, or hives may occur, so if such symptoms appear, the medication should be discontinued immediately. It is important to have regular blood tests or liver function tests to monitor changes in red and white blood cell counts or liver enzyme levels. Gastrointestinal symptoms may include diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting, and in rare cases, serious liver issues such as hepatitis or hepatic encephalopathy may occur. Neurological symptoms may include headaches, insomnia, dizziness, and anxiety, with rare instances of confusion or depressive symptoms. Respiratory symptoms may include cough, difficulty breathing, and asthma attacks, and in rare cases, serious interstitial pneumonia may occur, so if fever or difficulty breathing is present, consult a medical professional immediately. This medication contains sodium, so caution is needed for patients with edema, hypertension, or kidney disease; long-term use may lead to metabolic abnormalities such as alkalosis. Additionally, this medication suppresses gastric acid secretion, which may increase the risk of gastrointestinal infections with long-term use. If diarrhea persists, inform your healthcare provider. Caution is advised while driving or operating machinery due to potential drowsiness or dizziness. This medication may interact with certain other medications, so if you are taking drugs such as warfarin or methotrexate, be sure to inform your healthcare provider. It is safest not to use this medication during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more easily due to decreased liver function, so it should be used with extra caution. Hives, severe swelling (edema), difficulty breathing, liver abnormalities (jaundice), sudden and severe headache, seizure, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, significantly decreased urine output, severe generalized swelling, increased blood pressure, severe allergic reactions, severe skin reactions, respiratory issues, jaundice, serious neurological symptoms, severe edema or urination abnormalities, toxic epidermal necrolysis (Lyell syndrome), Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
