This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of the cold, including runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults aged 15 years and older should take 1 packet (5g) 3 times a day after meals, dissolved in water. The interval between doses should generally be 4 hours.

Child dose

Children aged 11 to under 15 years should take 2/3 of a packet 3 times a day after meals, dissolved in water. Children aged 7 to under 11 years should take 1/2 of a packet 3 times a day after meals, dissolved in water.

Precautions

This medication may put strain on the liver, so individuals who consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. The acetaminophen component in this medication may rarely cause serious skin reactions; if a rash or allergic symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately. The maximum daily dose of acetaminophen is 4,000mg, and this medication should not be taken with other acetaminophen-containing products. Individuals who are allergic to this medication or its components, have a history of asthma, infants under three months old, or those taking certain antidepressants should not take this medication. It is safer not to combine this medication with cough syrups, cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines while on this medication. Especially for children who have or are suspected to have chickenpox or flu, individuals with allergic tendencies, and those with liver, kidney, or heart disease, consultation with a specialist should be made prior to taking this medication. If abnormal symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, or urination issues occur after use, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. In principle, this medication should not be administered to children under the age of 2 years, and in cases where it is necessary, a doctor's consultation is required. Please adhere to the prescribed dosage and duration of use, and avoid prolonged use. When administering to children, a guardian should closely monitor them during use. Avoid alcohol during use, as drowsiness may occur; also, avoid driving or operating machinery. Taking this medication with specific drugs may slow the metabolism of acetaminophen, so caution is necessary, and be vigilant for abnormal symptoms when taking this medication with certain antibiotics.

  • Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor → symptoms of shock (anaphylaxis)
  • Severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes → Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, cough accompanied with fever → asthma, interstitial pneumonia
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), profound lethargy
