This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tearing caused by the common cold, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults should take 1 tablet 3 times a day after meals.

Child dose

Children (12-14 years old) should take 1/2 tablet 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which can rarely cause serious skin reactions. If symptoms such as fever, red spots, or small pus-filled blisters occur, discontinue use and consult a specialist immediately. This medication should not be taken by individuals with certain medical conditions or situations. For example, individuals allergic to this medication, those with severely impaired liver or kidney function, patients with severe heart conditions, individuals who have difficulty urinating, hypertension patients, pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under the age of 2, and those taking certain medications should not take this medication. Additionally, this medication should not be taken along with blood pressure medications, alcohol, sleep aids or sedatives, and certain antidepressants, especially if taking medications called MAO inhibitors, then this medication should be taken at least 15 days after stopping the MAO inhibitor. While taking this medication, it is advisable to avoid activities that require focus, such as driving or operating dangerous machinery. Asthmatics, individuals with glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, prostate enlargement, and children under 12 years of age should consult a specialist before taking this medication. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days of use or if a high fever occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. If serious symptoms arise, such as drowsiness, anxiety, hallucinations, muscle spasms, severe headache, vomiting, or loss of consciousness, discontinue use immediately. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as hallucinations, seizures, nervous excitability, and insomnia may appear, so immediate emergency treatment should be sought if these symptoms occur. Finally, this medication should be stored out of reach of children, kept away from direct sunlight, and stored in a cool and dry place. It should be kept in its original container, as transferring it to another container may degrade its quality.

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), high fever, erythema, multiple small pustules, severe skin reactions, ischemic colitis symptoms (sudden abdominal pain, rectal bleeding), reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome, reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome symptoms (sudden severe headache, lightning headache, nausea, vomiting, confusion, seizures, visual disturbances), central nervous system abnormalities (central nervous system depression, central stimulation, coma, cardiovascular collapse)
