This medication is used for patients who have a risk of gastric or duodenal ulcers and do not achieve sufficient effectiveness with low-dose naproxen or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics. It primarily alleviates inflammation and pain associated with joint diseases such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis, thereby improving the quality of life for arthritis patients.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Administer 1 tablet (500 mg naproxen / 20 mg esomeprazole) orally twice a day. This medication should be swallowed whole with water and should not be split, chewed, or crushed. It is recommended to take at least 30 minutes before meals.

Precautions

This medication may cause gastric bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks a day, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. The non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug components in this medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases and lead to serious issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke. Drowsiness, dizziness, or fatigue may occur during treatment; thus, caution is needed while driving or operating machinery.
