This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion caused by colds, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis. Particularly, tablets and syrups also improve tearing symptoms, while capsules are effective in relieving the main nasal symptoms. It helps patients reduce discomfort in daily life and alleviate symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medicine contains pseudoephedrine, which can rarely cause serious skin adverse reactions, such as acute generalized pustular rash. If fever or red spots or small pustules appear on the skin, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medicine should not be taken by individuals with certain diseases or conditions. For example, it should be avoided by those who are allergic to this medication, have severely impaired liver or kidney function, have severe heart disease, or have problems with urination. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 2 years of age, and individuals taking certain medications should also refrain from using it. During the use of this medicine, it is advised not to take it with blood-pressure medications, alcohol, central nervous system depressants such as sleep aids or sedatives, and various kinds of stimulants or antidepressants. Particularly, if you have taken an MAO inhibitor, you should wait at least 15 days before using this medicine. While taking this medication, drowsiness or decreased concentration may occur, so it is advisable to avoid tasks that require alertness, such as driving a car or operating dangerous machinery. Those with asthma, glaucoma, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, benign prostatic hyperplasia, or children under 12 years of age should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days after taking it or if high fever develops, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Additionally, if symptoms of central nervous system abnormality appear, such as sedation, drowsiness, anxiety, sweating, vision abnormalities, hallucinations, muscle cramps, severe headaches, vomiting, or coma, it should be discontinued immediately and advice should be sought. Skin rash or itching, digestive disorders, and urination problems should also be closely monitored. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hallucinations, convulsions, irritability, dizziness, and insomnia may occur, and emergency treatment like gastric lavage may be needed. This medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and stored in a tightly closed container away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. Furthermore, it should always be stored in its original container to avoid misuse or deterioration of quality.
