For example, it should not be administered to patients allergic to this medication or ergot alkaloids, patients with acute myocardial infarction, acute bleeding patients, patients taking sympathomimetic drugs, patients with very slow heart rates, patients who have not stopped bleeding after intracranial hemorrhage, and patients with orthostatic dysregulation. Additionally, caution is required for mild bradycardia patients or those with kidney function issues when using this medication. Rarely, symptoms such as dyspepsia, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and dry mouth may occur after taking this medication. Liver function test values may temporarily increase. Symptoms such as dizziness, blood pressure changes, drowsiness, headaches, fatigue, and insomnia may also occur rarely. Allergic reactions such as skin rashes, itching, and flushing may occur, so caution is necessary. When taken with blood pressure-lowering medications, blood pressure may drop too low, so it is essential to frequently monitor blood pressure. Furthermore, this medication may affect uric acid levels, so caution is needed for patients with gout or hyperuricemia. After taking this medication, care should be taken when driving or operating machinery. This medication is metabolized in the liver by specific enzymes (CYP450 2D6), so there may be interactions with other medications that use this enzyme. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should be cautious when taking this medication, and it is advised to avoid taking it during breastfeeding or to stop nursing if possible. Elderly patients may have decreased bodily functions, so caution is needed, such as adjusting the dosage. The safety in children has not yet been established, so it is preferable not to use it in pediatric patients. In cases of overdose, blood pressure may temporarily drop, so it is essential to monitor blood pressure changes and take necessary measures.
