Used to relieve various symptoms of cold, including sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 years and above: take 1 pouch (20mL) three times a day, 30 minutes after meals. The recommended interval between doses is generally 4 hours. If necessary, take at bedtime.

Child dose

Ages 11 to under 15 years: 2/3 pouch; Ages 7 to under 11 years: 1/2 pouch; Ages 3 to under 7 years: 1/3 pouch; Ages 2 to under 3 years: 1/4 pouch taken 1

Precautions

This medication may burden the liver; therefore, individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Severe rashes or blisters may appear during treatment; if such symptoms occur, immediately discontinue use and consult a professional. The acetaminophen component in this drug must not exceed 4,000mg per day, and it should not be taken with other medications containing acetaminophen. Individuals who are allergic to this drug or any of its components, have a history of asthma, infants under three months old, or those taking certain antidepressants should not take this medication. During the course of this medication, avoid taking cough or phlegm medications, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Infants or children infected with chickenpox or influenza, individuals with allergic constitution, those with multiple diseases affecting the liver, kidneys, heart, etc., and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a professional before use. If any abnormal symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, swelling, or dizziness occur during use, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Particularly, if symptoms such as hives, difficulty breathing, severe skin reactions, or jaundice occur, seek medical attention immediately. This medication should not be administered to children under the age of two; if absolutely necessary, a doctor's consultation is required. Strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage and duration of use; avoid prolonged use. Supervision by a guardian is required when administering to children, and alcohol should be avoided during treatment. Taking this medication with certain drugs may slow down the metabolism of acetaminophen, so consult a professional if you are taking such medications. Using this medication with certain antibiotics may rarely cause serious metabolic abnormalities; therefore, caution is advised in such cases. Store this medication out of the reach of children, in a cool, dry place, tightly sealed against direct sunlight, and do not transfer it to another container.

Serious side effects

  • Hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor → severe allergic reaction
  • High fever with severe rash, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/eye mucosa → severe skin adverse reactions
  • Asthma, liver dysfunction: generalized fatigue, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice) → liver dysfunction (jaundice)
  • Breathing problems accompanied by cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing, with fever → respiratory issues

Mild side effects

Rash, redness, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Storage

Store this medication in a tightly sealed container to protect it from air and moisture. Additionally, it is best to keep it at room temperature, avoiding too hot or too cold places, ideally between 1°C and 30°C.
