This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of a cold including sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 years and older and adults: 2 capsules 30 minutes after meals, 3 times a day.

Child dose

Ages 8 years and older to under 15 years: 1 capsule 30 minutes after meals, 3 times a day.

Precautions

This medication may put a burden on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. If severe rashes or blisters appear on the skin while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. These skin reactions are very rare but can be fatal. It contains acetaminophen, so care should be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dose of 4,000 mg and should not be taken with other products containing acetaminophen. Individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients, those who have experienced asthma attacks, infants under 3 months old, and those taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics should not take this medication. It is safe to avoid taking medications containing cough suppressants, other cold medications, analgesics, sedatives, and antihistamines while on treatment. Children under 15 years of age who have chickenpox or flu, individuals with allergic tendencies, those with liver, kidney, or heart diseases, those with gastrointestinal problems, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and individuals taking other medications should consult a healthcare professional before using this medication. If symptoms like rashes, itching, vomiting, dizziness, or insomnia appear after taking the medication, stop taking it immediately and consult medical personnel. Emergency treatment should be received immediately if symptoms like hives, difficulty breathing, severe skin rashes, or jaundice develop. This medication should not be used in children under 2 years of age; if necessary, it should only be taken after consulting a physician. Always follow the prescribed dosage and administration guidelines, do not use for an extended time, and ensure proper supervision when administering to children. Avoid alcohol while using this medication, and be cautious of possible side effects when used together with certain medications. If any unusual symptoms occur while taking this medication with others, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional.

Serious side effects

Hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, cold sweat, pallor, difficulty breathing (shock/anaphylactic symptoms), severe rash with high fever, blistering, skin peeling, mucosal pain in the mouth/eyes (Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis), asthma attacks, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, cough with fever related respiratory changes (interstitial pneumonia), jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), profound lethargy.

Mild side effects

Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA), rash, redness, itching
