Precautions

This drug should not be administered to certain patients. It should not be used in patients with an allergy to this drug or its components. Additionally, since it contains lactose, patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should not take it. While taking this medicine, various side effects may occur, so careful observation is necessary. Severe allergic reactions or shock symptoms may occur, so if there are symptoms such as decreased blood pressure, altered consciousness, difficulty breathing, or rash, immediately discontinue use and seek treatment. Blood-related problems may lead to a reduction in white blood cells or platelets, so if fever, sore throat, or bleeding symptoms appear, discontinue the medication. Hepatic dysfunction may occur; thus, if jaundice or elevated liver enzyme levels are suspected, treatment should be stopped and appropriate management is required. Respiratory issues may cause fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, so discontinue use and undergo steroid treatment if any abnormal lung symptoms appear. If symptoms of muscle pain, weakness, or muscle damage occur, discontinue the drug immediately and seek treatment, and caution should also be taken for renal impairment. If rash, hives, or itching occurs on the skin, discontinue use and take appropriate measures. Neurological symptoms may include tremors, seizures, anxiety, headache, drowsiness, and dizziness; hence, careful monitoring is advised. Gastrointestinal issues may manifest as nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. Cardiovascular abnormalities such as arrhythmias, tachycardia, palpitations, and flushing may also occur, though rarely. Urogenital symptoms like proteinuria and urinary difficulties have been reported. This drug is not intended to relieve acute asthma attacks, so patients should be adequately informed of this point. In cases of severe asthma attacks, bronchodilators or steroids should be used. Patients receiving long-term steroid treatment should gradually adjust the dosage when taking this drug, and discontinuing this drug can risk exacerbation of the condition, so caution is necessary. Also, during the use of this drug, serious side effects such as vasculitis may occur, so blood tests and symptom changes should be closely monitored. Changes in mental health may occur, so if symptoms of depression or suicidal thoughts arise, immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary. It is essential to avoid long-term use if there is no effect. This drug is metabolized by certain enzymes, so interactions may occur when taken with other medications. Particularly, co-administration with medications that inhibit such enzymes can increase the blood concentration of this drug, so caution is required. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should only take this drug if the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, and the safety for children, neonates, and low-birth-weight infants has not been sufficiently established. Elderly individuals may experience decreased physical function, so special caution such as adjusting dosages is necessary. Finally, this drug should be kept out of the reach of children, and transferring it to other containers should be avoided as it may lead to accidents and quality degradation.
